Mihama American Village
A lively town with an American feel
A resort area located in the Mihama area of Okianwa’s Chatan Town.
The area was formerly the site of a US military base and recreates an American atmosphere, and the entire area resemble a theme park.
There are cafes and knickknack shops in Depot Island and Carnival Park Mihama, another area called American Depot, a movie theater, large-scale supermarket, and resort hotels, making it a great place to enjoy dining, shopping, and sightseeing.
Additionally, Sunset Beach – known for its beautiful sunset – is a popular spot among both locals and tourists for swimming and BBQing during the day and viewing the sunset at dusk.
Along the beach there are cafes and restaurants that are bustling with people of all nationalities from morning to night.
At night the landmark of the area, its Ferris wheel, and the entire area are illuminated.
Mihama is also known as an “entertainment park city” and on weekend nights street performances are held regularly.
